Custom Made Blinker/Brake Modules

LED DX GEN2 BLINKER MODULES

This upgrade is for those who want to use their brakes as blinkers while maintaining full use of their Brakes and Blinkers!
Perfect upgrade for those with LED Tail Lamps to blink their LED brake lights while maintain full functionality of their brakes!

We are custom making these for specific vehicles. There are two series available.

  1. Generic GEN2 Series - requires you to tap some connectors on to some wires and follow directions on which wire to connect to which wire you just tapped. We are not responsible for improper installations! Reversible, with crimp marks on wires. No cutting wires or soldering required.
  2. DX GEN2 Series - Speciifically made for Toyota vehicles that use 7443 connection to the LED taillights. Everything is plug and play. No crimping, no figuring it out, just connect and go. Fully 100% reversible. No cutting wires or soldering required. No crimped wires.
    Check the pictures below:
Each module comes with everything needed to work with or without LED taillights

Nothing else is needed to be purchased to get your Lights working.

Pictures of a prototype of DX-GEN2 LED Module and Installation

Each GEN2 LED Module electronic components are custom made in store for each customer.
Lead time is about 1 day, unless there are back orders on the electronics used for each module.

A 50w resistor is added with each module so your LED blinkers will blink normally and will not throw any error codes.

Output connection is direct female 7443 socket

One one end of the module you will see a brown connector like the one pictured on the left. This will plug directly into the connector on the LED Taillights. Be sure to align the green wire on the plug parrallel with the black wire on the LED taillights or your lights will not work.

Pictured on the left is the factory Toyota 7443 taillight/brake connector. There is a small tab that you can push in and disconnect the 7443 female socket from the connector on the wire.

Vehicles 7443 socket disconnected from connector

Here you see that the socket part has been disconnected (on the right) and the connector part is still attached to the wires.
NOTE:
Blue = BRAKE
Brown = TAIL
White/black stripe = GROUND

Pictured here on the left is the factory Toyota 7440 Turn Signal connector. There is a small tab that is pushed in and will disconnect the socket part from the connector just as done one the 7443.

 Vehicles 7440 socket disconnected.

Here you see the socket part is disconnected from the connector part just as we did in the above steps for the 7443.
NOTE:
Green or Yellow = BLINKER
White/black stripe = GROUND
(Now place those sockets in a safe place.)

Now looking at the black connector for the Tail/Brake you can see three slots. Each slot will have a wire running out the back. Blue, Brown, White with Black stripe.

Installing input wires to the black connector.

Slide the metal pin with the red wire into the slot with the blue wire as shown on the left.

Now slide the metal pin with the black wire with the label "TAIL" the the slot with the brown wire as shown on the left.

Now on the gray connector that is the blinker connector, it only have two slots. Each slot has a wire running out the back, one green or yellow wire and a white with black stripe wire.

Installing input wires to gray connector.

Slide the metal pin with the white wire from the module into the slot on the gray connector with the green or yellow wire.

Now slide the black wire labeled "BLKR" into the slot on the gray connector with the white w/black stripe wire.

 FINAL STEP: IMPORTANT! Read Carefully!

Here is the male 7443 connector from the LED taillights. Yours may vary. Once you locate the 7443 male connector, notice which side has the black wire on. This side will need to be matched up with the brown 7443 female socket on the GEN2 module.

Final step of the installation of the DX-GEN2

Notice now that the connector is connected with the socket the green wire on the brown socket is aligned with the black wire from the male connector. This is the correct way to connect your last step.

If you do not have this connected correctly your lights will not work.

Now that one side is installed, tuck away all wires carefully and securely. Be sure not to pull on the pins or they will become disconnected if pulled to hard. Finish your steps by repeating these steps on the other side. Each taillight will have its own module and connections.

Before driving away, complete this check list:
(Vehicle should be running and in a ventilated area during the test!)

  1. With the Tail lights OFF, Blinker OFF, Do the Brake Lights work?
  2. With the Tail lights OFF, Blinker ON, Do the Brake Lights work?
  3. With the Tail lights ON, Blinker OFF, Do the Brake Lights work?
  4. With the Tail lights ON, Blinker ON, Do the Brake Lights work?

If you answered YES to all the above questions then you have passed and can continue to drive the vehilce safely.
